There has always been a certain kind of conflict between bloggers who want to advertise and bloggers who just want to be producers of high quality content. This has continued ever since blogging became more of a mainstream activity around five years ago. Having the will to produce content that adds value to a reader’s experiences with the blog has always somehow seemed one step removed from the many blogs out there that seem loaded with advertising units and aimed at bringing in the money.

However, occasionally a WordPress Theme comes along that seems to marry commercial and artistic sensibilities perfectly. Artificial Intelligence carries this off with some flair. Having a very clean look, the kind most favoured by content champions, the template also has some space on it for advertising units. And this is dedicated space too, it is on purpose.

The two column template also has a very functional sidebar, which is located on the left hand side. This is another nod towards the blogger who wants to add value. This allows the widget functionality to come through, and therefore offer more to the reader.

Overall, a clean WordPress template, and one with a great level of functionality.
