Sometimes a WordPress Theme comes along that is so ridiculously striking that it is guaranteed to get everyone’s attention. Modern Poison is such a template, coming as it does with a host of graphical touches that really lift it head and shoulders above other templates in the genre.

It is hard to say which kind of blog this WordPress template would be best suited to. Perhaps its bright colours and heavily stylised RSS icon meet the needs of a blogger who writes about fashion. Or maybe the whole thing is best suited to a blogger who likes writing about astronomy.

In any case, it gets your attention. The RSS icon itself is definitely something you should at least take a look at.

The sidebar is on the left hand side, which is a little unusual normally, but seems perfectly at home in this template. This sidebar is totally widget compliant. Widgets are used by bloggers to add functionality to what they do. From installing a calendar to updating Twitter Tweets, widgets can pretty much make your blog as user-friendly and accessible as one would want.

This is an unusual theme, but one that grabs your attention, and doesn’t let go.
