There is a clear surplus of money orientated blogs floating around at the moment, with finance writers and firms eager to get their own opinions about markets and indexes out to the blogosphere. The amount of bloggers who just like discussing money in general is exploding too. Personal finance, for example, is a major issue at the moment, and perhaps for good reason. Any blogger who is able to provide valuable content on this issue will be eagerly read, as many people find themselves having to think more carefully about how they treat their finances in the short to medium term.

A WordPress Theme that perfectly encapsulates the feel for such a blog is Cashflow 101. This template easily conveys the finance ‘feel’ for anyone who wants to blog on such an issue. The main header graphic is that of a combined dollar and Euro sign. This gives the image of a money blog.

The sidebar is fully widget compatible. It is also nicely positioned on the right hand side of the screen. The colour scheme is dominated by a proud dark blue.

This is a truly attractive WordPress template, and one that any finance blogger should be looking into.

Business blogs are pretty much easy to find. The best are known for relying on great content that helps people. This kind of help that is aimed at readers in a focused way is really only possible when you have a WordPress Theme that is clean and uncluttered.

Mouse IT is a clean theme. Because of the fact that it has a mouse graphic (of the PC hardware kind) in the header, it is probably best suited for a tech or PC type blog. However, the mouse theme could also be utilised by a business blog owner. Since so much business is done through computers these days, it seems like a natural choice to have a blog that features a mouse.

The mouse graphic and business-like feel is reinforced by the crisp look of the WordPress template. It is a two column template, with the sidebar over to the left. This sidebar is of course fully widget complaint, so you have the full functionality that this feature brings with it.

You must make sure that you enable the widgets in your blog’s admin pages. So many bloggers forget to do this. This is a nice, clean businesslike blog that works well.

There has been a recent trend towards having very minimalist and clean designs for blogs. This is typified in something like Frugal by Erich Hamm. The feel and look of a minimalist design is basically promoted due to the fact that many bloggers want their content to be focused on, rather than a set of flashy graphics around it.
One such WordPress Theme that definitely focuses on having very minimalist design is the rather intriguing Modern. This WordPress template is innovative in that it looks almost washed out due to its lack of anything really disruptive on the front end of the theme.

This is a two column template, and the sidebar is located on the right hand side. However, and perhaps quite unusually for a WordPress theme, this particular sidebar does not support widgets.

The theme is almost entirely white. This could be off-putting for some, but the aforementioned content happy bloggers will definitely welcome this look and feel for their needs. There is one other colour in the equation, but this is gray, so no real need to get too excited.

This is an intriguing WordPress template, due to the fact that it is so clean and uncluttered.

Classic Glassy

There are plenty of WordPress themes out there at the moment that purport to be elegant and sophisticated, however, only a few manage to make the grade. Classic Glassy gives it a good try, and comes out pretty well in the end.

This WordPress Theme is elegant and sophisticated, due to the fact that it does not have too much on the screen for the viewer to take in. The main area within the WordPress template is white, with the rest of the screen being totally black. This gives it that all elusive elegance that so many themes lack.

The sidebar, as with the majority of two column templates out there at the moment, is totally widget friendly. This means that all of the customisation options that the best blogs have can be used with this WordPress Theme too. This gives the theme that extra edge over the less well developed themes that are available.

Just don’t forget to enable widgets in your blog’s admin area if you want to take full advantage of them. Otherwise you may find that the WordPress template is not as usable as you would want it to be. Classic Glassy is developed by isoftwarereviews.com.

If you are looking for a WordPress theme with a financial feel to it, one for a money blog perhaps, then Financial Circle could be just what you are looking for. The theme has an amazingly clean and functional feel to it, perfect for a straightforward financial blog.

This is a two column theme, which means it saves the best part of the page for the content that the blogger wants to include. This means that the sidebar, which is over to the right, is free to offer all of the customisable widgets that the best blogs have. In other words, it is a highly functional theme template.

The main content area works on a white background with grey text. This fits in with the financial feel that the theme generates. Muted colours meld well with the theme of money and financial propriety.

An unusual RSS button is found in the top left hand corner. This is different because the graphic itself has probably never been witnessed before. It is a nice customised touch that readers of the blog will appreciate. This is a highly functional theme, yet one that also fits in neatly with a definite mood.
